Small Business Using More Freelancers
An SME Snapshot report from MYOB towards the end of 2017 showed that for the six-months up to November, 89% of SMEs had used the services of a freelancer or independent contractor.
Convenience, 'pay for what you need' access to skills, and flexibility were some of the highlighted reasons given as to why those businesses went this route rather than hiring their own staff.
Top complaints were 26% saying that they had frustrations with freelancers understanding their business, and 10% found payment processes too complex.
