I enjoyed watching Alex Cabañas deliver this TEDx talk on customer service standards within the hospitality industry: The Bar is So Low - The Realities of Memorable Service.
It is also saddening that so much of this simple stuff is dismissed by so many companies, and that going in and committing to some basic service standards, your company is able to stand out so far from the rest of your competitors.
If you talk with me, I have many stories of basic service levels gone by the wayside, of simple opportunities missed, and of silly things said during customer service experiences.
